PAUSE, REFLECT, REJOICE

Image
Wow, what a journey it has been.  And just like that, September is winding down. Before you jump into next month, take a moment to Pause, Reflect, and Rejoice 💃💃💃. PAUSE: Taking a Pause is a conscious decision to step off the treadmill of “what’s next” and stand still in the present. Pausing interrupts the cycle of endless doing and gives us space to breathe. God Himself invites us into pause: “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10) When we pause, we silence the noise long enough to recognize God’s hand sometimes in small, almost invisible ways. Where in your life do you need to press “pause”? Is it in your thoughts, your pace, or your striving? REFLECT: Reflection allows us to see what we missed while rushing. It’s like holding up a mirror to the past month, not with judgment, but with curiosity. Ask yourself: What am I grateful for this month? What prayers were answered (big or small)? What lessons did I learn, even through challenges? Reflection turns...

EYES ON THE FINISH LINE

Image
It’s easy to start. The energy of a fresh beginning, the excitement of new goals, the passion of a clear vision, these things can ignite us quickly. But finishing? That’s another story. Finishing requires endurance when the excitement fades. It demands consistency when progress feels slow. It calls for faith when the end seems far. And yet, finishing well is one of the clearest marks of good stewardship. The Power of Endurance The writer of Hebrews encourages us:  “Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus…” ( Hebrews 12:1-2 ) Notice the word: endurance. Life is not a sprint; it’s a marathon. There will be obstacles, delays, even moments of exhaustion. But those who endure, those who keep running, step by step, eyes fixed on Jesus, are the ones who finish well. Starting Strong vs. Finishing Strong Think of athletes. Many start a race with speed, but not everyone maintains it to the finish line. In life, the same principle applies. Star...

STEWARDING YOUR GIFTS AND OPPORTUNITIES

Image
I once heard someone say, “Opportunities are like doors-some swing open once, others swing open often, but all require you to walk through.” That picture stuck with me because it reminded me that what we do with opportunities matters as much as the opportunities themselves. Think about the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14–30 . The master gave each servant a portion: five, two, and one talent. Two of them invested wisely, doubled what they were given, and received a reward. The last buried his, too afraid to act. The message is clear: God expects us to do something with what He places in our hands. Gifts and Opportunities Are Seeds Your gifts-whether it’s leadership, creativity, problem-solving, encouragement, or teaching- are not just for you. They’re seeds meant to bless others and advance God’s kingdom. In the same way, opportunities, big or small, are doors that allow those gifts to grow and shine. The question is: What are you doing with the seeds God has given you? ...

STEWARDING YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

Image
No one journeys through life alone. From family to friendships, mentors to peers, relationships are the threads that weave through our stories. The truth is that the people around you can either push you toward purpose or pull you away from it. That’s why stewarding your relationships is a critical part of stewarding your journey well. Relationships Are a Gift and a Responsibility God often answers prayers through people. He brings helpers, encouragers, and destiny partners into our paths. But He also asks us to treat those relationships with wisdom, honor, and care. Stewardship here means recognizing the value of the people in your life and handling those connections with intentionality. Proverbs 13:20 says: “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.” Who you walk with affects who you become. Destiny Helpers vs. Distractions Not everyone in your circle is meant to stay. Some people are assignments; others are distractions. Some will encourage your...

STEWARDING YOUR TIMES AND SEASONS

Image
Time is one of the most precious gifts we’ve been given. Unlike money, you can’t earn it back once it’s gone. Unlike opportunities, you can’t reopen yesterday. Every tick of the clock is a reminder that life is moving forward, and how you use your time will shape the journey you’re on. But time doesn’t come to us in one endless stream. It comes in seasons . And stewarding your journey well means learning to honor the season you’re in without rushing past it or despising it. Every Season Has a Purpose “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” ( Ecclesiastes 3:1 ) God works in seasons. There are times of planting and times of harvest, times of waiting and times of moving, times of rest and times of stretching. The problem is that we often want to skip the “less exciting” seasons. We want to fast-forward through waiting and jump right into winning. But every season carries its own lessons, training, and rewards. The Waiting Season Waiting is ...

STEWARDING YOUR JOURNEY WELL

Image
What is stewardship? it means taking care of what’s been placed in your hands. That includes your time, your talents, your opportunities, and even your waiting seasons. Stewardship isn’t just about money, it’s about responsibility. Life is not just about getting from one point to another; it’s about how you handle the in-between. Your journey-whether it’s your career path, spiritual walk, relationships, or personal growth-is a sacred trust. God has placed you on a path uniquely designed for you, and how you manage that journey matters. Too often, we focus only on the destination. We want the breakthrough, the testimony, the achievement. But in God’s eyes, the journey itself is where character is formed, faith is tested, and obedience is refined. The way you walk today shapes the person you’ll be when you arrive tomorrow. Responsibility in our journey looks like: Walking faithfully in small steps. Don’t despise your “now.” (Luke 16:10 reminds us that whoever is faithful in littl...

OPPORTUNITY OR DISTRACTION?

Image
Not every "open door" was meant for you to walk through. 🎤🎤🔔 Sometimes what looks like a blessing can quietly derail your focus, drain your energy, and detour you from the very path God set you on. The truth is: distractions don’t always come wrapped in obvious trouble. They often come dressed as good things, exciting opportunities, shiny connections, or attractive ventures that promise quick progress. But not every good thing is God's thing. When Nehemiah was rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 6). His enemies invited him multiple times to come down and “discuss” matters. On the surface, that looked like an opportunity for diplomacy. But Nehemiah discerned it was a distraction. His response? “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down.” He understood that leaving his assignment, even for something that looked important, would compromise the mission. That’s how distractions work; they masquerade as opportunities. 1. They Appeal to Your Desire for Pro...

FOLLOWING YOUR HEART EVEN WHEN IT IS SCARY

Image
Fear often shows up right at the door of destiny. Fear shows up whenever you’re about to step outside your comfort zone. It’s your mind’s way of saying, “This is unfamiliar.” But just because it’s unfamiliar doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Many times, the presence of fear is proof that you’re standing at the doorway of growth. Every major breakthrough in your life came with a little fear attached. First day at school. First job interview. First time you tried something new. Fear was there, but so was opportunity. The Danger of Ignoring Your Heart Ignoring your heart may feel safe in the moment, but over time, it leaves you restless. You might avoid failure, but you also avoid fulfillment. Regret often comes not from what we tried and failed, but from what we never dared to try. Many people silence their hearts because of “what ifs.” What if I fail? What if people laugh? What if it doesn’t work out? But there is another set of “what ifs” that is more dangerous: What if you succeed? W...

WHEN GOD HIDES YOU-PART 3

Image
God Hides You for The Right  Timing Today, we conclude the series on when God hides you. The third reason God may hide us would be because He is waiting for the right time to reveal us. The saying, "God's time is the best," always rings true to those who have witnessed or experienced it. Jesus Himself lived hidden for 30 years before stepping into just 3 years of public ministry. If the Son of God could embrace obscurity until the Father’s appointed time, so must we. Sometimes it’s not about you at all; it’s about timing. Jesus’ brothers once told Him,  “Show yourself to the world.”  But He replied,  “My time has not yet come.”  (John 7:6). Even the Savior of the world waited until heaven’s clock struck “now.” Even though He was the Messiah, He didn’t step into public ministry until the appointed season. Timing matters with God. You may feel ready, but God sees the bigger picture. Sometimes it’s not just about you being prepared; it’s also about the world being ...

WHEN GOD HIDES YOU-PART 2

Image
God Hides You for Preparation “He chose David His servant and took him from the sheep pens; from tending the sheep He brought him to be the shepherd of His people Jacob.” – Psalm 78:70-71 David’s story is a beautiful picture of preparation. Before he killed Goliath, before he ever held a crown, he held a shepherd’s staff. Before the applause of Israel, there was the quiet field with sheep. And it was there, in the hidden places, that he learned to worship with his harp, to fight lions and bears, and to trust God when no one was watching.  That hidden season trained him in worship, courage, and warfare. Sometimes we want the palace without the pasture. But the pasture is where character is formed. It’s where skills are sharpened. It’s where we learn to hear God’s voice and obey Him faithfully. Maybe right now you feel like you’re in a “sheep-pen” season, doing ordinary things, overlooked by people. But that season is not wasted. God uses hidden seasons to train you for what’s a...

WHEN GOD HIDES YOU-PART 1

Image
In this our "now now" generation, naturally, we don't like to wait. We want everything to be happening at the speed of light. But then, there are seasons when life feels quiet. Your phone doesn’t ring much, the recognition you hoped for doesn’t come, and prayers you’ve prayed seem to linger in the air unanswered. Opportunities seem to pass you by, people overlook your gifts, and doors that should open stay firmly shut. It can feel lonely, even confusing. But what if the silence isn’t rejection; what if it’s God hiding you? Scripture shows us that hidden seasons are not wasted; they are part of God’s design. God Hides You for Protection “By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.” – Hebrews 11:23 When Moses was born, Pharaoh had ordered all Hebrew baby boys to be killed. To preserve his life, his mother hid him. That hiding wasn’t punishment; it was preservati...

FINISHING STRONG

Image
The year is slowly winding down. September marks the beginning of the last quarter of the year  (October–December) , which is the “finishing strong” season. A last quarter check on goals helps you assess progress, refine strategies, and finish well without burning out. For many, it’s a season of mixed emotions: excitement for what’s been accomplished, regret for what didn’t work out, or even exhaustion from all the effort already poured in. But here’s the truth: how you finish matters just as much as how you started. This is the finishing strong season. Not about hustling till you collapse, but about pausing, assessing, refining, and moving with intention. 1. Celebrate the Wins (Big and Small) Before you beat yourself up about what hasn’t happened, pause to acknowledge what has . Did you pick up a new skill? Improve a relationship? Stay consistent in a habit longer than you did last year? Those are victories. Gratitude energizes you for what’s next. 💡 Reflection prompt: “What...
