WHEN GOD HIDES YOU-PART 1

In this our "now now" generation, naturally, we don't like to wait. We want everything to be happening at the speed of light. But then, there are seasons when life feels quiet. Your phone doesn’t ring much, the recognition you hoped for doesn’t come, and prayers you’ve prayed seem to linger in the air unanswered. Opportunities seem to pass you by, people overlook your gifts, and doors that should open stay firmly shut. It can feel lonely, even confusing. But what if the silence isn’t rejection; what if it’s God hiding you?

Scripture shows us that hidden seasons are not wasted; they are part of God’s design.

God Hides You for Protection
“By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.” – Hebrews 11:23

When Moses was born, Pharaoh had ordered all Hebrew baby boys to be killed. To preserve his life, his mother hid him. That hiding wasn’t punishment; it was preservation. God used her courage and wisdom to shield the child who would later deliver a nation.

Sometimes God hides you because exposing you too soon could destroy you. He shields you from battles you’re not yet equipped to fight, from environments that could crush your confidence, and from people who might mishandle your destiny.

Think about it: you may have prayed for a platform, but if God gave it to you too soon, it might crush you. Or you may have wanted a relationship, but if it came before you were healed, it could wound you deeper.

Think about how people treat precious things. Gold is hidden deep in the earth before it’s mined. Diamonds are concealed in rock before they are discovered. Even seeds must be buried before they grow. Anything of value spends time in hiding.

So when God hides you, it’s not to deny your worth; it’s to protect it. He knows you carry something precious that must not be exposed too soon.

👉 Lesson for us: Sometimes being hidden is God’s protection. What feels like a delay could be the very thing saving your destiny.

WAITING WARS

After watching the movie "Waiting Wars" by Gloria Bamiloye, you find tthat there is the faith that makes noise and there is the faith that remains when the noise fades. The kind that survives unanswered questions. The kind that keeps showing up long after the excitement has worn off. The kind that does not collapse when feelings fluctuate.
