DAY 365, YEAR 2025

Image
Wow, it's day 365. We stand at the edge of a new year. One season is ending, and another one is about to begin. As the year comes to a close, my heart leans into gratitude before it leans into plans. Thank You Jesus, for the days I understood and the ones I didn’t. For prayers answered clearly, and for the ones that came wrapped in waiting. For strength I didn’t know I had, grace that carried me quietly, and lessons that shaped me. This year wasn’t perfect, but it was purposeful. There were moments of joy, moments of stretching. Looking back, I can trace Your hand in daily sustenance, protection, and timely encouragement. As a new year approaches, I don’t step forward with anxiety or pressure to have it all figured out. I step forward with trust. Trust that the same God who kept me through this year will guide me into the next. Trust that growth will come, grace will abound, and purpose will unfold one step at a time. I release what didn’t work. I carry forward what refined me. And...

LESSONS 2025 TAUGHT ME

Image
As the year draws to a close, I realize that 2025 didn’t just pass, it instructed me. Sometimes-quietly, other times, firmly. It stretched me, slowed me down, and gently exposed the areas where growth was overdue. Looking back now, I see that the lessons were always there; I was simply learning how to listen. 1. Growth Is Often Uncomfortable 2025 reminded me that real growth rarely feels convenient. Some of the moments I resisted the most were the very ones shaping my character. Stretching seasons felt awkward, uncertain, and at times lonely; but they produced depth, not just results. 2. Obedience Matters More Than Visibility There were things I did this year that no one applauded. No public affirmation. No obvious reward. Yet 2025 taught me that faithfulness in the unseen carries more weight than recognition in the spotlight. Some assignments are private for a reason. 3. Letting Go Is Also Progress I learned that endings are not always failures. Some relationships, habits, expec...

PAUSE, REFLECT AND REJOICE

Image
As the year comes to an end, take some time to pause, reflect, rejoice, and Plan. PAUSE The year carried its own weight: unexpected turns, answered prayers, silent battles, victories. This year asked a lot of you. It stretched your faith, your patience, your expectations. Yet you were carried through days you once thought would overwhelm you. Recognize the strength that carried you, the grace that covered gaps you didn’t know how to fill, the quiet mercies hidden in ordinary days. R ecognise that you didn’t walk through this year alone.  Take a moment and acknowledge grace. Your survival itself is a testimony. REFLECT Reflection gathers wisdom from experience. Looking back helps us see patterns: what drained us, what strengthened us, where God met us again and again. Reflection is not about regret; it’s about understanding. It turns life lessons into guidance for the future. Ask yourself: What lessons do I want to carry forward? What habits need adjusting? What season a...

AS I WAS BUSY HERE AND THERE

Image
1 Kings 20:39–40   “As your servant was busy here and there, the man disappeared.” A prophet, disguised as a wounded soldier, tells King Ahab a story: he was given a man to guard, with clear instructions- keep him safe . The condition was simple: if the man escaped, the guard would pay the price. But then came the confession that changed everything: “As your servant was busy here and there, the man disappeared.” This man was not rebellious, did not refuse the assignment, did not sleep on duty; he was just distracted. And distraction cost him everything. Focus Is a Spiritual Responsibility This story shows that what we lose is not always taken by force; it often slips away while we are busy with something else . The man was not lost because the guard slept. He was lost because the guard shifted his attention. How many assignments, callings, seasons, and instructions have quietly slipped away, not because we didn’t care, but because we were “busy here and there”? Busyness...

CARRY HEAVEN'S PEACE ON EARTH

Image
We often pray for peace on earth;  for nations, communities, families, and relationships. And we are right to do so. The world needs peace. The happenings around us reminds us of that. But then,  a restless world cannot produce peace for a restless soul. We expect external calm to fix internal storms. We tell ourselves, “When things settle down, I’ll be at peace.” But things rarely settle. Life keeps moving. Demands keep coming. Seasons keep changing. Peace that depends on circumstances will always be fragile. You Become What You Carry When peace lives in you, you bring it into rooms without trying so hard. Your words soften edges.  Your presence calms tension. Peace on earth begins when people decide to guard their inner world. So today, instead of asking the world to change, pause and ask: What am I allowing to rule my heart? Where have I exchanged peace for pressure? What would it look like to rest, right here, right now? Because the most powerful prayer ...

FAITH FOR THE FUTURE

Image
I once started a new year with a carefully written plan and a quiet knot in my chest. On paper, everything looked fine. Goals were clear. Prayers were written. Hopes were neatly arranged in bullet points. But beneath all of that was a question I didn’t know how to silence: What if this next year doesn’t go the way I’m trusting God for? That is how transitions feel "sometimes". You’re not where you used to be, but you’re not where you’re going either. The old season has ended, lessons learned, wounds healed (or still healing), doors closed. And ahead of you is something unfamiliar.  New responsibilities. New expectations. New faith demands. This is where faith for the future becomes more than a phrase. It becomes a posture. Many of us enter new seasons carrying silent fears. Fear of repeating past mistakes. Fear that the prayers we prayed won’t be answered the way we hoped. Fear that trusting again might cost us something. So we hesitate. We stall. We cling tightly to wha...

EMMANUEL: OUR BEST GIFT (2)

Image
A Name That Carries a Promise When the angel spoke to Joseph, the child was given a name filled with meaning: Emmanuel (Matthew 1:23).  Emmanuel reminds us that God did not wait for us to get it right before coming near.  He arrived in a manger, not a palace. He entered ordinary life, with its interruptions, uncertainties, and human limitations. That alone tells us something powerful: God values presence over perfection . God With Us In Every Season Emmanuel is not only a Christmas revelation, but it is also a daily reality. God with us in joy. God with us in grief. God with us when prayers feel unanswered and when we have our testimonies. This season may find you celebrating milestones or quietly surviving. You may be surrounded by people or navigating lonely spaces. The beauty of Emmanuel is this: His presence is not dependent on our circumstances . He is with us in the celebration and in the silence. Making Room for the Best Gift It is very easy to be too busy to notic...

THE BEST GIFT 🎁🎁🎁

Image
December has a way of pulling us into activities: shopping lists, end-of-year deadlines, family plans, and the silent pressure to make everything “perfect.” But in the midst of lights, carols, and the frenzy of getting things ready, Christmas also reminds us of a truth we often forget: The best gift is not what we "place under the tree"… It’s the One who came for us in love. Christmas is ultimately about Presence before presents.  God stepping into our world, into our humanity, into our mess, into our longing. When we refocus Christmas, we’re not ignoring the celebration; we’re simply choosing to anchor it in what truly matters. The Gift That Changes Everything When Jesus was born, heaven gave us more than a miracle; God gave Himself. Not distant, not unreachable, not intimidating. But Emmanuel: God with us. His presence brings what no wrapped gift can offer: Peace in a noisy world Hope in uncertain seasons Light in places we don’t talk about Joy that isn’...

DROP THE BAGGAGE, KEEP THE LESSONS

Image
As we journey towards the new year, not everything is meant to come with you. Some weights were only meant for a season, not a lifetime. Some responsibilities were only meant to teach you, not to chain you. Some relationships were meant to shape you, not to follow you forever. And some expectations, especially the ones you placed on yourself, were never meant to define you. Letting go is not a sign of weakness.  Imagine your heart to be a suitcase. If it stays overloaded, you won’t have space for the new things God wants to place in your hands. To receive, you must release. Let go of the pressure to meet standards God didn’t set. Let go of old disappointments that tampered with your confidence. Let go of guilt for the things you didn’t get right. Let go of the people-pleasing that drained you. Let go of trying to prove a point to anyone but God. Let go of yesterday's battles;  today carries its own grace. As you release, you’re not stepping into emptiness; you’re...

THE SOURCE OF JOY

Image
Joy is a presence that remains steady even when nothing around you feels steady. Happiness depends on what happens; joy depends on Who you’re anchored in. When David wrote, “In Your presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11), he wasn’t describing a passing feeling. He was pointing us to a Person.  Joy Comes From Alignment, Not Achievement Sometimes we believe joy is a reward for reaching a certain level of success or spiritual maturity. But joy isn’t found at the finish line. It’s found in alignment- when your heart, your steps, and your purpose lean into God’s will. You can have a long to-do list and still experience joy. You can be in a season of pruning and still walk in joy. You can be waiting, trusting, hoping, and still carry joy. Why? Because joy is produced when your soul knows you are held. Joy Thrives Where Gratitude Lives Joy and gratitude are siblings. They flourish together. Gratitude keeps your eyes on what God is doing, not what seems delayed. It re-teaches...

YOUR DECEMBER STRATEGY (2)

Image
Here are some things to keep in mind as you strategize for a strong finish in December. 1. Ask Yourself the Right Questions What is actually necessary? What can wait? What can you let go of completely? 2. Define What a Win Looks Like (For  You ) Your December shouldn’t be defined by the pressure of “doing everything before the year ends.” Instead, choose three things that would make this month meaningful. Think in categories: A personal win A relational win A spiritual growth win When you decide your wins early, you silence unnecessary pressure. 3. One Thing to Complete, One Thing to Continue, One Thing to Begin A simple but powerful December framework: Complete:  The thing you’ve been postponing but would give you peace if you finish it this year. Continue:  The habit or commitment that has been working-don’t break momentum. Begin: S tart something that 2026 will thank you for. These three actions create continuity and forward motion. 4. B...

YOUR DECEMBER STRATEGY

Image
December has a way of sneaking up on us like a surprise guest. One minute you’re mapping out your January goals with fresh excitement, and the next, you’re staring at the end of the year, wondering how time flew so quickly. December always arrives with a unique kind of energy-part celebration, part pressure, part reflection. The world is suddenly louder with deadlines, expectations, and the scramble to “end the year well.”  But try to remember:  You don’t stumble into a strong finish. You strategize for one. December isn’t just the last page of the calendar; it’s the lens through which you evaluate the year behind and shape the year ahead. A December without a strategy can leave you feeling overwhelmed. But a December with intention becomes a December of clarity. So… what’s your December strategy? Ask yourself: What truly mattered this year? What did I learn about life, about God, about myself? What can still be honored, nurtured, or completed in these last weeks...
