PAUSE, REFLECT, REJOICE
Before you jump into next month, take a moment to Pause, Reflect, and Rejoice 💃💃💃.
Taking a Pause is a conscious decision to step off the treadmill of “what’s next” and stand still in the present. Pausing interrupts the cycle of endless doing and gives us space to breathe.
When we pause, we silence the noise long enough to recognize God’s hand sometimes in small, almost invisible ways.
Where in your life do you need to press “pause”? Is it in your thoughts, your pace, or your striving?
-
What am I grateful for this month?
-
What prayers were answered (big or small)?
-
What lessons did I learn, even through challenges?
Reflection turns experiences into wisdom. It helps us notice growth we would otherwise dismiss. Maybe you handled a tough situation with more grace than last time. Maybe you dared to try something new. Maybe the only victory was surviving-and that, too, is worth honoring.
Paul reminds us: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18)
This isn’t a call to ignore pain but an invitation to notice grace even there. Rejoicing keeps our hearts soft, hopeful, and expectant for what’s ahead.
As you close this month, try this simple exercise:
-
Write down 3 things you’re grateful for from this month.
-
Write 1 lesson you’ve learned.
-
Say a prayer of thanks and a declaration of hope for the next month.
