WHEN GOD HIDES YOU-PART 3
God Hides You for The Right Timing
Today, we conclude the series on when God hides you. The third reason God may hide us would be because He is waiting for the right time to reveal us. The saying, "God's time is the best," always rings true to those who have witnessed or experienced it.
Jesus Himself lived hidden for 30 years before stepping into just 3 years of public ministry. If the Son of God could embrace obscurity until the Father’s appointed time, so must we.
Sometimes it’s not about you at all; it’s about timing. Jesus’ brothers once told Him, “Show yourself to the world.” But He replied, “My time has not yet come.” (John 7:6). Even the Savior of the world waited until heaven’s clock struck “now.”
Even though He was the Messiah, He didn’t step into public ministry until the appointed season.
Timing matters with God. You may feel ready, but God sees the bigger picture. Sometimes it’s not just about you being prepared; it’s also about the world being ready to receive what you carry.
The world may not be ready for what God has placed in you. God hides you until both you and your assignment align perfectly.
Ecclesiastes reminds us: “He makes everything beautiful in its time.”
- Stay faithful – Like David in the fields, serve with all your heart where you are.
- Stay teachable – Let God shape your character, prune your pride, and prepare your spirit.
- Stay connected – Hiding doesn’t mean isolation from God or community. Lean in.
- Stay hopeful – Hidden does not mean forgotten. God remembers.
- Nurture your private victories – David killed the lion and the bear in private before killing Goliath in public.
- Stay planted – A seed doesn’t complain about the soil; it just grows roots.
Being hidden is not easy. It can feel like obscurity, rejection, or delay. But remember: a seed must be buried before it breaks through the soil. Diamonds are formed in the dark before they shine. And you, too, may be hidden now, but when God reveals you, it will be in His perfect time.
