FEED YOUR FAITH, STARVE YOUR FEAR (2)

While the storm raged, Jesus slept through it. When Jesus said: “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Matthew 8:26

He wasn’t rebuking them for feeling fear; He was revealing that fear had gained strength because faith was underfed.

Faith says, “God is here.”
Fear says, “You’re alone.”

Faith says, “God can.”
Fear says, “What if He doesn’t?”

Faith looks at the storm and rests.
Fear looks at the storm and sinks.

Feeding Your Faith Means:
  • Meditating on God’s promises.
  • Reminding yourself of past testimonies.
  • Speaking Scripture over your situation.
  • Choosing worship over worry.
  • Surrounding yourself with faith-filled voices.

Faith is not just reading the Bible; it is choosing to believe it in the face of fear.

Starving Your Fear Means:
  • Refusing to rehearse worst-case scenarios.
  • Silencing thoughts that contradict God’s Word.
  • Turning off things that fuel anxiety.
  • Rejecting lies the moment they appear.
  • Bringing every fear into the light of Scripture.

“Perfect love casts out fear.” 1 John 4:18
You do not cast out fear by shouting at it. You cast it out by embracing the love of God deeply, consistently, and intentionally.

A Well-Fed Faith Makes Fear Weak
When your faith is nourished, fear loses its grip. It cannot cling to a heart anchored in Scripture. Fear may knock, but it won’t stay. It may whisper, but it won’t lead.

Perfect faith reminds you that:

God is with you (Isaiah 41:10).
God is for you (Romans 8:31).
God goes before you (Deuteronomy 31:8).
God strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).
God fights for you (Exodus 14:14).

With a God like this, fear simply cannot win.

Today’s Encouragement
Feed your faith daily, intentionally, gladly.
Starve your fear tirelessly, courageously, consistently.

Let God’s Word be louder than your worries.
Let His promises outweigh the pressure.
Let His presence calm what fear tries to stir.

Because fear is real, but your God is greater.
And whatever you feed the most will rule your heart.
