BURIED DREAMS

Buried dreams are desires, goals, or visions you once deeply cared about but set aside, not because you stopped wanting them, but because life got in the way.

Life has a way of making us bury things we once held close to our hearts. Dreams we nurtured passionately. Visions, ideas that kept us awake at night. Somewhere between responsibilities, disappointments, and seasons of waiting, those dreams get covered.

But here is the beautiful truth: what is buried is not always dead.
In God’s hands, buried things can resurrect.

The God Who Revives Dormant Seeds
Scripture tells us that “Hope deferred makes the heart sick” (Proverbs 13:12). When dreams are delayed, our hearts grow weary. We learn to shrink ourselves. We settle. We quiet the voice that once told us we could be more, do more, become more.
Yet the same verse ends with:“…but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”

This means that when God brings a dream back to life, it doesn’t just bless you; it transforms you. It becomes nourishment, strength, and joy.

Dormant dreams are like seeds buried underground. For a season, nothing is visible. It looks silent, forgotten, barren. But in the unseen, God is working. He is watering. He is shaping. He is preparing a harvest that will testify of His faithfulness.

You Did Not Mishear God
Sometimes you revisit an old journal, a childhood passion, or a vision you once shared with a friend, and suddenly your heart leaps again. That quiet stirring? That renewed interest? That unexpected opportunity? It is often God's way of telling you: “It’s time.”

Not every delayed dream is denied. Not every closed door is permanent. Some dreams needed time to mature. Some needed you to mature.

Moses, Joseph, Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth are people who carried buried dreams that seemed impossible. Yet God revived those desires in their divine season.

If God placed the dream in you, He can resurrect it.

If you’re reading this and something inside you is awakening-a memory, a passion, a vision; don’t ignore it. God is breathing on your buried dreams. What felt dead is coming alive again. This is your season of resurrection.

You will see beauty rise from the ashes.
You will hold the testimony you once only imagined.
You will walk in the purpose that once felt out of reach.

Because with God, no dream is ever too buried to rise.
