Part 1: Why Your Yes Matters

Every story of transformation begins with a decision. One whispered “yes” to God can shift the course of history. We sometimes forget this truth because we see our obedience as small, ordinary, or insignificant. But heaven never treats obedience as small.

When Abraham said “yes” to leave his homeland, he didn’t see the nations that would come from him. When Mary said “yes” to carry Jesus, she couldn’t yet see the cross or the resurrection that would save the world. When Peter said “yes” to leave his nets, he had no idea he would become a foundation stone of the early church. Noah's "yes'' saved his family and preserved humanity.

Your “yes” may not make headlines, but it echoes in eternity. It matters because it aligns your life with God’s divine story. It matters because people you may never meet will one day benefit from your obedience.

Perhaps your “yes” looks like starting that business God placed in your heart. Or choosing to serve in your local church faithfully. Or raising your children with intentional faith, even when no one notices. Each act of obedience creates a ripple effect, touching lives you don’t even see.

God doesn't just ask for ability; He asks for availability.

Don’t underestimate the weight of your obedience. Your “yes” is the bridge between God’s intention and earthly manifestation.

Your YES matters because:

  • God partners with willing hearts. ( Isaiah 6:8. "Here am I, send me").
  • Your yes is not just for you; it unlocks blessings for generations after you.
  • Often, obedience doesn't make sense in the beginning, but it carries a ripple effect you may never see fully.

After watching the movie "Waiting Wars" by Gloria Bamiloye, you find tthat there is the faith that makes noise and there is the faith that remains when the noise fades.
