Part 3: The Rewards of Saying Yes.

While obedience comes with a cost, it also carries unimaginable rewards. God is never a debtor; every act of obedience positions you for blessing, alignment, and greater purpose.

Peter experienced this in Luke 5. After a night of catching nothing, he obeyed Jesus’ instruction to cast his net again. That single “yes” brought in a catch so large that his nets began to break. Obedience opened the door to overflow.

Obedience also brings peace. There is nothing like the quiet assurance that comes from walking in God’s will. Even when the road is uncertain, you rest knowing you are where He wants you to be.

And do you know the greatest reward? Your obedience doesn’t just bless you; it blesses others. Generations can be transformed by one person’s decision to say yes. Your faithfulness can inspire courage in someone else. Your ''yes'' might unlock the healing, provision, or breakthrough another person has been praying for.

God delights in those who obey Him. In Deuteronomy 28, He promises blessings that “overtake” those who walk in His ways. That’s the reward of obedience: abundance, alignment, and legacy.

  • Mary’s humble ''yes'' (“Be it unto me according to your word” – Luke 1:38) ushered in redemption.
  • Peter’s ''yes'' to leave his nets birthed apostleship.
  • Your "yes" may seem small: teaching a child, starting a prayer group, or helping one soul- but heaven values it greatly.

đź“ŚReflection: What future fruit might be tied to your present obedience? Don’t withhold your ''yes''; God has rewards prepared beyond what you can imagine.

After watching the movie "Waiting Wars" by Gloria Bamiloye, you find tthat there is the faith that makes noise and there is the faith that remains when the noise fades.
