WHAT IS IN YOUR HANDS? PART 2

BEFORE YOU ASK FOR MORE, LOOK AGAIN.

Too often, we talk ourselves out of action by underestimating our resources. But what you call “not enough” might just be the seed for impact.

Before You Ask for More, Look Again.

Think of the woman in 2 Kings 4, widowed, in debt, desperate. Her miracle began when she was asked: “What do you have in your house?” Her reply? “Nothing, except a little oil.”

That “little” was enough.

You don’t have to wait to be fully resourced before you begin. You have something, and that’s enough for now. The clarity, the funding, the connections, the visibility, all of that often shows up after you take action with what’s in your hands.

Ways to Recognize What’s In Your Hands

1. Inventory your skills. What do people often ask you for help with?

2. Trace your journey. What experiences have shaped your wisdom?

3. Notice your passions. What do you naturally lean toward or care deeply about?

4. Acknowledge your access. Who do you know? What spaces are you already part of?

You might not have everything, but you certainly have enough to begin. It is not about having it all; it's about using what you have.

So the next time you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unqualified, ask yourself:

“What’s in my hands?”

And trust that it’s more than enough to begin.
