NOW IS THE TIME

“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” – Arthur Ashe

We are always waiting for the “perfect” time.
We think we need more money, more experience, more confidence, or more clarity before we begin. But here’s the truth: the perfect moment is a myth. There will always be reasons to wait, but none of them will ever replace the power of action taken now.

The calling on your life isn’t waiting for conditions to line up; it’s waiting for you to take the first step.

The Trap of “Someday”
“Someday I’ll start the business.”
“Someday I’ll write the book.”
“Someday I’ll share my story.”
“Someday I’ll use my gift.”

But someday is a thief. It sounds safe and reasonable, but it quietly robs us of progress. Before we know it, years pass, and we’re still carrying the same unstarted dream, heavier now, weighed down with regret.

Don’t let “someday” steal your today.

What You Have Is Enough to Begin
The biggest misconception about potential is that it needs to be fully ready before it can be useful. But growth doesn’t come before action; it comes through action.
You may not feel qualified. You may not have it all figured out. But you have something. A gift. A skill. A desire. A spark.
Start with your words.
Start with your hands.
Start with your experience, your pain, your passion.
God doesn’t wait for perfection to move. He honors faithfulness. When you step out, things begin to shift not just around you, but inside you.

Progress, Not Perfection
You don’t need a full blueprint. You need a first brick.
Building anything meaningful is messy. You’ll make mistakes. You’ll learn on the go. You’ll have to revise, restart, and rethink. But that’s not failure, that’s formation. That’s how gifts get refined. That’s how purpose takes shape.
The key is consistency, not genius. Faith over fear. Progress over paralysis.

The Courage to Begin
Courage isn’t the absence of fear; it’s choosing to move despite it.

So write the first page. Launch the small version. Share your voice. Send the email. Open the door to what you’ve been postponing. The gift inside you wasn’t meant to be perfectly polished before being useful. It was meant to be used, stretched, and grown.

Remember: everything big once started small. And the people you admire didn’t wait to be confident; they became confident by starting.

The Time Is Now
Today is sacred. It’s the only moment you’re guaranteed. Tomorrow isn’t promised, and yesterday is already written, but today is still in your hands.
So stop waiting for a sign. You are the sign.
Stop waiting for everything to be in place. Start where you are.
Stop doubting what’s in you. Stir it up.
Your gift is ready. Your time is now.

Action Steps:
Identify one thing you’ve been putting off and take a small step toward it today.

Write a “starting plan,”  not a master plan. What can you do in the next 7 days?

Remind yourself daily: “Done is better than perfect.”
