SUCCESS: LIVE WITH PURPOSE

Hi there. We are completing the series on success today by seeing how a purpose driven life, rooted in Christ is more powerful than any pressure the world can place on you.

So many of us live under pressure; pressure to succeed, to impress, to “arrive.”  But as followers of Christ, we are not called to strive for worldly approval. We are called to live with eternal purpose.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” - Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

Pressure Comes From the World; Purpose Comes From God
Pressure says: You’re not doing enough.
Purpose says: I’ve already prepared a path for you.
Pressure pushes us to compare, compete, and perform. But when you know your God-given purpose, you walk in clarity, confidence, and peace, regardless of external success or recognition.

Living With Purpose Is the Highest Success
Jesus never hurried, yet He fulfilled His entire mission in just over three years of ministry. He didn’t follow the crowds; He followed the Father.
Living with purpose means asking daily, Lord, what do You want to do through me today? It means knowing that your identity is in Christ, not in your performance.

“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” - 1 Corinthians 10:31

How to Live With God-Given Purpose
1. Seek God First
Purpose flows from intimacy with God. The more you align your heart with His, the clearer your path becomes.

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” - Proverbs 3:6

2. Embrace Your Unique Assignment
You were created with intention. No one else can reflect God’s love through your personality, passions, and experiences same way you do.

Don’t imitate; rather, activate the gifts God placed within you.

3. Rest in God’s Timing
You don’t have to force open doors God hasn’t opened. Trust that His timing is perfect, and that walking in purpose means being obedient, not overextended.

Reflection and Prayer:
Father, thank You that I am fearfully and wonderfully made with a purpose designed by You. Help me to lay down pressure and pick up peace. Teach me to walk in step with Your Spirit and fulfill the work You’ve created me to do. In Jesus’ name, amen.

I trust this series has been helpful and insightful. Please share your thoughts in the comments section.
