SUCCESS: IMPACT NOT APPLAUSE

True success isn’t about being seen, but about being faithful when no one is watching. When we mistake visibility for value, we can lose sight of the quiet, powerful impact of a Christ-centered life. But Scripture reminds us that the greatest impact is often made in secret, and the greatest rewards come from God, not man.

“Your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” - Matthew 6:4 (ESV)

Success Is Serving the Kingdom
We were not placed on this earth just to achieve personal dreams, but to advance God’s Kingdom. That means using your time, gifts, and influence, no matter how big or small, for His glory.
You may never preach from a stage, but you may speak life to a co-worker on the brink of despair. You may not write books, but you may raise children who will one day change lives. That is Kingdom impact.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” - Colossians 3:23

The Danger of Chasing Applause
Applause is fleeting. And when we build our lives around recognition, we can easily fall into burnout, insecurity, or pride. But when we serve with an eternal mindset, our work has lasting value, even when no one notices.

“Am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? ... If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” -Galatians 1:10

How to Measure Impact God's Way

1. Focus on Faithfulness, Not Fame
God is not looking for the most followers, He’s looking for the most faithful. Whether you're leading a Bible study, working a quiet job, or praying behind closed doors, your obedience matters.

2. Trust That Small Acts Have Eternal Weight
Every act done in love has ripple effects in heaven, even if it feels invisible on earth. A kind word, a quiet prayer, a generous gift… none of it is wasted.

 “For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name...” - Hebrews 6:10

3. Let God Define the Outcome
Our job is the obedience, not the outcome. When we release control and trust God with the results, we step out of performance and into purpose.

Reflection and Prayer: Lord, help me to desire Your approval more than applause. Show me the places where I can make an eternal difference, even in small, humble ways. May my life bring You glory. Amen.

We are witnessing a season where old posts are resurfacing, and careers are shaking. Appointments are being reconsidered. Partnerships are being withdrawn. Public trust is being questioned. After watching the movie "Waiting Wars" by Gloria Bamiloye, you find tthat there is the faith that makes noise and there is the faith that remains when the noise fades. The kind that survives unanswered questions. The kind that keeps showing up long after the excitement has worn off. The kind that does not collapse when feelings fluctuate.
