TAKE TIME

It's the weekend again. What are your plans for the weekend? Whatever your plan is:

Take time to laugh, it is the music of the soul.
Take time to think, it is the source of power.
Take time to play, it is the source of perpetual youth.
Take time to read, it is the fountain of wisdom.
Take time to pray, it is the greatest power on earth.
Take time to love and be loved, it is a God-given privilege.
Take time to be friendly, it is the road to happiness.
Take time to give, it is too short a day to be selfish.
Take time to work, it is the price of success.

We often make statements like- "After I settle into my new job, I'll go on vacation. After my next promotion, I'll spend time with my family.' Who are we kidding?

Imagine we live in the desert and we are given something very precious... the only glass of water we will ever have. But because of our busy schedule, we never get around to drink the water. By the time our schedule is free, the water has evaporated.

In the same way, when we put life off, it will evaporate. Lets enjoy life while we still have it because it will not last for ever. What fun thing are you going to do today inspite of your busy schedule?

We are witnessing a season where old posts are resurfacing, and careers are shaking. Appointments are being reconsidered. Partnerships are being withdrawn. Public trust is being questioned. What changed? Time. Maturity changed. Context changed. Standards changed. But the digital footprint remained. The words you released into cyberspace were seeds. After watching the movie "Waiting Wars" by Gloria Bamiloye, you find tthat there is the faith that makes noise and there is the faith that remains when the noise fades. The kind that survives unanswered questions. The kind that keeps showing up long after the excitement has worn off. The kind that does not collapse when feelings fluctuate.
