TEN (10) AREAS YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO WRITE A VISION
It's Fabulous Friday, a wonderful day to explore areas where you should be able to write a vision for your life. Before diving into that, I want to share a humorous conversation I had with my 2-year-old, which, upon reflection, holds a deeper meaning.
I asked my 2-year-old to do something and he responded with, ''Why?''. I repeated the instruction, and he continued with, ''WHY? WHY? WHY?'' At this point, he thought we were playing a game of ''Why.'' The interesting part is that once the ''why'' is understood, figuring out the ''HOW'' is much easier. Knowing your "WHY" allows strategy and execution to fall into place more smoothly.
Here are ten (10) areas you should be able to write a vision for your life.
2. Vision for spiritual growth and development. (a feeding system for nurturing your spirit man).
3. Vision for companionship. (what kind of person do you want to spend the rest of your life with?).
4. Vision for family. (tradition, spirituality, values, legacy).
5. Vision for personal growth and development. (this, informs the kind of books you read, seminars you attend, etc).
6. Vision for your career and calling. (what would you do for free?).
7. Vision for your friends and colleagues. (the kind of network, and relationships you need to cultivate).
8. Vision for recreation and renewal. (how do you relax, unwind, and prevent burnout?).
9. Vision for financial stability. (what are you prepared to exchange for money?)
10. Vision for your health and fitness.
Remember that nothing just happens. Create, and set up systems in place that would help you achieve your goals.
Proverbs 29:18a says, where there is no vision, the people perish, stumble all over themselves, cast off restraint, run wild, quickly wander astray. (see various translations).
Great possibilities await you.
